New review · just now

“Sat on the patio under the lights and forgot we were in the middle of the city. Ask for Marco.”

How it works

Three steps. One new habit.

Only the delighted and the furious leave reviews on their own. Everyone else walks out with your best feedback. The card catches them at the table.

01

Server drops the card with the check

It lives in the check presenter. No QR hunting, no receipt fine print, no app. The ask happens while the tiramisu is still on the table.

Why reviews matter

More reviews. Higher on the map. More walk-ins.

When someone searches “dinner near me”, Google ranks the results by relevance, distance and prominence. In Google’s own words, “more reviews and positive ratings can help your business’s local ranking.” Fresh, steady reviews are how a small restaurant earns one of the three spots people actually tap.

The card

Looks like it belongs on your table.

Credit-card size, printed both sides, NFC inside and a QR code on the back. Pick a design or send us your logo — you approve a preview before anything prints.

Actual size: 85.6 × 54 mm. Works with iPhone XS and newer, and nearly every Android phone.

The monthly report

What your guests are actually saying.

On the first business day of every month, our AI reads every new Google review and writes you a report a good general manager would be proud of. Not a star average. The reasons behind it.

  • What guests love, ranked by how often it comes up
  • Complaints grouped by cause, each with a fix
  • Servers and dishes mentioned by name
  • Priority actions and drafted replies to negative reviews
August 2026 report
Lucia's Trattoria
4.6

Best review month on record. Guests are talking about the new patio and the tiramisu, and three servers are getting named praise. Two fixable issues are costing you stars: weekend wait-time communication and the noise level in the back room.

The patio is your summer story

31 of 87 reviews mention the patio, and 29 of them are five stars.

Fix first
Weekend waits feel longer than they are

Quote 10 minutes longer than you expect on weekends, and send a text when the table is ready so guests can walk the block.

Why it works

Timing beats tactics.

Email and text follow-ups arrive after the guest has gone home. By then the only guests who answer are the ones with something to shout about.

Asked at the right moment
The card arrives with the check, while the meal is still a feeling and not a memory. Reviews written at the table tend to mention specifics: the dish, the server, the patio.
Nothing to download, nothing to type
Hold the phone to the card, tap the link that pops up, and the review form opens. No QR code to hunt for, no URL to type, no app. Most guests are already signed in to Google on their phone.
Every guest, the same way
You ask everyone, you never filter, you never reward. That is what Google requires, and it is how you avoid giving Google a reason to remove them.
Cards you never have to re-print
Each card points to a short link we manage. Change your Google link, move locations, or add a survey later. The plastic stays the same.

Questions

Things owners ask us first.

See all questions
Which phones work with the card?
Nearly all of them. iPhone XS and newer read the tag with no app: hold the top of the phone near the card, a banner appears, and the guest taps it. Older iPhones from the 7 to the X need the NFC Tag Reader in Control Center, which takes one extra tap. Almost every Android phone sold in the last several years reads NFC as long as the screen is on and unlocked; newer Android versions show an open-link notification to tap. Every card also has a QR code on the back as a fallback.
Does the guest need the Google app?
No. The link opens in the phone's browser, straight to your Google review box. Google requires reviewers to be signed in to a Google account, and most guests already are on their phone. If not, Google asks them to sign in and then returns them to your review box. No app to download, nothing to install.
Is asking guests for reviews allowed?
Yes. Google allows businesses to ask customers for reviews, as long as you ask everyone the same way. Putting a card on every table is exactly that. What Google does not allow is review gating, where you screen guests and only send the happy ones to Google, and incentives, where you offer a discount or gift in exchange for a review. Tablenote does neither, and our cards are built so you cannot either.
What if a guest leaves a bad review?
It will happen, because the card asks everyone. That is what makes the reviews credible. Your monthly report reads every review, including the rough ones, and tells you what caused it and what to do next. We also draft a calm, specific reply for you to post. You cannot delete a review, but if one breaks Google's policies (spam, a competitor, someone who never visited) you can flag it, and we show you how.
How does the report get our reviews?
We read your public Google reviews, the same ones anyone can see on your listing. To pull your full history and let us draft replies, you add Tablenote as a manager on your Google Business Profile. It takes about two minutes and we walk you through it on a call or by email. You can remove us at any time.
Can we cancel anytime?
Yes. The report is month to month. Cancel from your dashboard or by emailing isiah@tblnt.com and you will not be charged again. The cards are yours and keep working after you cancel.

See it work on your own phone.

We will build a demo card for your restaurant before we visit. You tap it, your Google review page opens, and we walk through a sample report with your name on it.

Or email isiah@tblnt.com. Tablenote is built by a small team that answers its own email.
